Mocka’s support with local charities extends beyond their business and to their genuine willingness to help out people in need. So when the Aitken Legal approached Mocka to help them out with this year’s Giggle Ball, naturally they jumped at the chance.
Aitken Legal is doing a wonderful job in helping to raise funds and awareness for local charities through their Giggle Ball. The aim of the Giggle Ball is to not only have a night of fun and laughter but to raise well needed funds for local charities.
The Giggle Ball has achieved great success in previous years and many people have requested for Aitken Legal to continue to organise the ball for the years ahead. The Giggle Ball was another hit this year and featured stand-up comedian Tom Gleeson and comedian ventriloquist Darren Carr as the MC and supporting act. The crowd enjoyed the sounds of a live band performed by Soul Men, a tribute Blues Brother’s band. There were major auction prizes, a silent auction, a balloon raffle and dancing, creating giggles for the entire night.
This year’s Giggle Ball donations went to MontroseAccess. MontroseAccess is a not-for-profit Queensland organisation with four metropolitan offices and a regional outreach program in Queensland. MontroseAccess help to improve the lives of more than 600 children and young adults with physical disabilities by providing much needed therapy, respite and recreation services.
To help out this wonderful charity, Mocka happily donated one of their Easels, a Teepee and a Balance Bike to the Giggles Ball. All the items were auctioned off in the silent auction on the night with proceeds going to MontroseAccess.
Aitken Legal managed to raise over $50,000 for MontroseAccess and all funds that were raised will remain on the Sunshine Coast to continue to support Sunshine Coast families in need.
