"I would not recommend purchasing from Mocka if you are expecting quality product. I paid significantly more for this product assuming I would receive better design, materials, and finishing than the near-identical units available from places like Kmart, Temple & Webster or Amazon. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The overall quality was very disappointing. Almost every panel had rough, poorly finished edges, making the product feel cheap and unfinished. The biggest issue, however, was the design of the backing panels. Instead of using concealed joins for a cleaner look, the two backing pieces meet between the open shelf with an obvious visible seam. This looks unattractive and feels like a basic design oversight that could have been easily avoided. There were also practical design flaws. The screws used to secure the backing panels do not include protective covers, meaning the screw heads protrude and can damage or gouge your wall if the unit is positioned against it, which is realistically the safest and most common placement for this type of furniture. What concerns me most is that there are many visually similar products online at a fraction of the price, and after receiving this item, I genuinely question what extra value Mocka is providing for the premium cost. I contacted customer service with detailed feedback and photos, but the response was disappointing and the $40 offered compensation did not reflect the poor quality of the product as a whole, nor did it bridge the gap between the cheaper almost identical products elsewhere. I would suggest the 5 star reviewers have either never owned a quality product or are being incentivized for positive reviews. Overall, this product did not meet expectations in either quality, design, or value for money."
